This Solimar Hopper Saver is a sacrificial wear plate installed inside the hopper of a cement or powder tanker. Made from aluminum, it is positioned at the discharge outlet, often in conjunction with a fluidizer assembly, to bear the brunt of abrasive materials like sand, cement, and other dry bulk powders. Replacing this wear plate is significantly more cost-effective than repairing or replacing the entire hopper cone, making it essential for preventative maintenance and extending the life of the trailer. The aluminum construction is lightweight and suitable for materials where steel is not preferred.
