This is a 4" Type DC locking camlock dust cap, used to seal the male cam and groove adapter on a cement or P-Grout fill pipe at a concrete batch plant. Its primary function is to prevent moisture, dust, and other contaminants from entering the silo's loading system when a delivery truck is not connected. The locking arms can be secured with safety pins or a padlock to prevent tampering and ensure the cap remains in place. Replacing a lost or damaged cap is essential for maintaining material purity and preventing blockages in the pneumatic loading system.
