This is a MAC 55 series double solenoid air valve assembly, commonly distributed by Stephens Manufacturing, for use in concrete batch plant air control systems. It is designed to control the movement of air cylinders that operate devices such as aggregate bin gates. As a double solenoid valve, it uses a momentary electrical signal to shift the spool and hold its position, allowing cylinders to remain extended or retracted without a constant electrical signal. This complete assembly includes the required sub-base for easy installation and plumbing. It is a critical component for replacing worn or malfunctioning valves to ensure the reliable automation of the batching process.
