This is a replacement cotton diaphragm for silo aeration pads. In a concrete batch plant, aerator pads are installed along the cone of a silo to introduce low-pressure air, which fluidizes dry bulk powders like cement or fly ash, ensuring they flow smoothly to the discharge point. This diaphragm is the permeable membrane that allows air to pass into the material. It requires replacement when the original diaphragm becomes worn, torn, or clogged, which would otherwise impede material flow and disrupt plant operations.
