This is a WAM ILT series rotary paddle bin level indicator, identifiable by its blue plastic housing. It is used in concrete batch plants and other bulk solid storage applications to detect the presence or absence of materials like cement, sand, and aggregates. When the material level reaches the paddle, its rotation is blocked, triggering an electrical signal to a control system. As the material level falls, the paddle begins to rotate again. This allows for automated control of filling processes, preventing overflows and material outages.
