This is a hydraulic counterbalance valve, Terex part number 27055, which is a critical safety and control component in the hydraulic manifold of Terex Advance front discharge concrete mixers. It allows free flow from the directional valve to the actuator and uses pilot pressure to control the flow from the actuator back to the directional valve, preventing uncontrolled movement or dropping of a load in case of hydraulic line failure. Operators would replace this valve due to internal leakage, failure to hold a load, or as part of a complete hydraulic system overhaul to ensure safe and smooth operation of hydraulic functions like the chute lift and swing.
Controls overrunning loads to prevent actuator runaway.
Provides reliable, leak-free load holding.
Protects against hydraulic line failure.
Features a 3:1 pilot ratio for efficient operation.
Adjustable pressure setting for system tuning.
Screw-in cartridge design for easy installation into a manifold.
Fits These Mixers
Terex, Terex Advance, Oshkosh. Fits the hydraulic manifold assembly (Terex P/N 24327 and 31210) on various Terex Advance front discharge mixers, including models from 2013 to current, such as the Commander Series.
All measurements ± standard manufacturing tolerance.
