This slump meter is a 0-5000 PSI hydraulic pressure gauge used on rear discharge concrete mixers to monitor the consistency of the concrete mix. The gauge measures the hydraulic pressure required to rotate the mixer drum; as the concrete's slump (fluidity) increases, the pressure decreases. This allows the operator to accurately gauge the mix from the cab or rear of the truck, ensuring consistent quality without manual inspection. It serves as a direct replacement for worn, damaged, or inaccurate slump gauges.
