This is a Norgren R07 series general-purpose miniature air pressure regulator, commonly used to control the air pressure supplied to the water tank on rear discharge concrete mixers. It regulates pressure from the truck's main air system to a consistent, safe level for pressurizing the tank, which is necessary for wash-down and adding water to the mix. This relieving-type regulator allows outlet pressure to be reduced even in a dead-ended system. It is a critical safety and operational component that requires replacement if it fails to maintain pressure correctly or leaks.
