This is a silo protection safety valve, commonly used on cement, fly ash, or dust collector silos in concrete batch plants. During pneumatic filling or due to temperature changes, pressure inside the silo can build to dangerous levels or drop into a vacuum; this valve automatically vents excess pressure or allows air to enter to equalize a vacuum, preventing silo roof blow-off or wall collapse. Its dual-action design provides a critical safety function, acting as a last resort if a primary dust collector system fails or becomes clogged. This 7-inch model corresponds to the widely used WAM VCP273 series.
Standard Excess Pressure Setting+0.05 bar (0.72 psi).
Standard Negative Pressure Setting-0.002 bar (-0.03 psi).
