The Advance FAA Pivot Cap Seal 1808 (Terex part number 11607) is a specialized grease seal used in the front axle assembly (FAA) of front discharge concrete mixers. It is installed at the upper knuckle cap and steering arm of Meritor FDS-1808 and similar front drive steering axles. This seal retains essential lubricating grease within the king pin assembly while blocking out water, dirt, and concrete debris. Replacing a compromised pivot cap seal during routine axle maintenance is critical to protecting the steering knuckle bearings and ensuring reliable steering performance in harsh job site conditions.
