This 1"-14 Grade 8 high hex nut is a critical suspension component for Terex Advance front discharge mixers. It is specifically designed to secure the front steer axle spring hold-down bolts (U-bolts), acting as the bottom tall nut in the assembly alongside a top lock nut. The extra height of the nut provides additional thread engagement for high-stress clamping force on the front leaf spring kit. Replacing this hardware is essential during suspension maintenance or when installing a new front spring kit to ensure safe axle attachment and prevent U-bolt fracture.
