The 1"-8 Unitorque locknut is an all-metal, prevailing-torque fastener designed for securing critical components on concrete mixer trucks. Unlike nylon-insert locknuts, the Unitorque design utilizes deflected metal threads at the top of the nut to create a mechanical friction lock that resists loosening under extreme vibration, heavy loads, and high temperatures. This 1-inch diameter, 8-threads-per-inch (UNC coarse) locknut is commonly used across McNeilus, Terex, and Con-Tech mixers for mounting pedestals, suspension components, and structural brackets where standard hex nuts or nylon inserts would fail. It provides a permanent, secure hold for heavy-duty maintenance and repair.
All-metal prevailing-torque design for superior vibration resistance
Deflected top threads create a mechanical lock without the need for nylon inserts
1"-8 UNC coarse thread pitch for heavy-duty structural applications
Withstands high temperatures and chemical exposure better than standard nyloc nuts
Compatible with high-strength bolts for high-stress mixer mounting points
Fits These Mixers
McNeilus, Terex, Con-Tech. Fits general heavy-duty fastening applications across McNeilus, Terex Advance, and Con-Tech concrete mixer trucks, including pedestal mounts, suspension systems, and structural weldments requiring 1-inch coarse thread locknuts.
All measurements ± standard manufacturing tolerance.
