This 1/2"-13 Unitorque locknut is an all-metal prevailing-torque fastener used across various concrete mixer systems, including McNeilus, Terex, and Con-Tech models. Unlike standard nylon-insert locknuts, the Unitorque design features mechanically distorted top threads that create a tight frictional fit, preventing the nut from backing off even under extreme vibration and dynamic loading. Because it is entirely metal, it is ideal for high-temperature environments or areas exposed to harsh chemicals and washout solvents where nylon would degrade. It is an essential replacement part for securing brackets, mounts, and structural components on front and rear discharge mixers.
All-metal prevailing-torque design with distorted top threads for superior vibration resistance
1/2"-13 UNC (Unified National Coarse) thread pitch
Eliminates the need for secondary locking mechanisms like lock washers or safety wire
Withstands higher temperatures and chemical exposure compared to nylon-insert locknuts
Suitable for heavy-duty structural and mechanical fastening on concrete mixers
Fits These Mixers
McNeilus, Terex, Con-Tech. Fits general fastener applications across McNeilus, Terex, and Con-Tech front and rear discharge mixers. Commonly used for securing structural brackets, mounts, and mechanical assemblies subject to heavy vibration.
All measurements ± standard manufacturing tolerance.
