The Terex 10172 coolant recovery tank is a 5-quart capacity overflow reservoir used in the powertrain cooling systems of front discharge concrete mixers. As the engine heats up during operation, expanding coolant flows into this tank rather than spilling out, and is drawn back into the radiator as the system cools. Constructed from heavy-duty plastic, it is built to withstand the harsh vibrations and temperature fluctuations typical of heavy-duty mixer applications. Replacing a cracked or leaking recovery tank is essential to maintain proper coolant levels and prevent catastrophic engine overheating.
